CUET celebrates the 10th anniversary of ETE Department

Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has been celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. On this occasion, a joyful rally was taken out in front of the Administration Building on the first day of the festival today, 27th October (Thursday). The festival will continue for 3 days. It was led by the CUET Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam. At this time, The students of ETE department held colourful placards and chanted the rally out of joy and festivity to mark the day. Later a discussion session titled “ETE Deca Hertz” was held in the university auditorium. The CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was the Chief Guest at the event. Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Technology Dr. Mohammad Moshiul Haque, Director of student welfare professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, director of the Department of Planning and Development Dr. Kazi Delwar Hossain, Pro-VC of Prime Asia University and Professor of EEE Department of CUET Dr. Md. Nurunnabi Molla and Dean of ECE Faculty of Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology and Professor of EEE Department of CUET Dr. Kazi Khairul Islam were present as special guests. Mr. Piyas Chowdhury, Assistant Professor of ETE Department and Convenor of the program delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Mehjabeen Senjuti, a student of ETE Department conducted the program. While speaking as the chief guest, Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam said, “Telecommunication Engineering is making an important contribution in the current information technology era as well as in the 4th industrial revolution as a necessary infrastructure. Students need to focus on expected roles in the future communication industry, including 5G networks. The ETE department has shown a lot of success in its 10 years of progress.” The three-day program includes - Rally, Alumni Re-union, and Nationwide Idea Contest, Machine Learning Contest, Circuit Solving. The festival will be concluded with an extraordinary cultural and prize distribution program organized by the students.
